The Desire then TTR then Home Triangle-trip

That was definitely one of our favorite parts of the trip. You even got Julie away from her book to play, which is quite the accomplishment!

 

The resort was over booked on Saturday, they asked the members first if they wanted to take a bump at $0.

 

Well next year we will just have to plan our dates together, go to TTR then to Desire for a few days before heading home.

 

Part of me wonders whether they were really overbooked, or whether they just wanted to encourage people to try out Desire Pearl - I've heard they've had a hard time building momentum of clientele over there.

 

Definitely. We had a great time with you both and just wasn't enough. Great new avatar... much better. lol.

 

We were thinking the same until they were actually trying to get people to go to the other Desire and not the Pearl.

 

It is a great idea to split the 2 although we have never done it. Number 1 reason would be the cost. A week at Desire generally runs us probably $1000 or so more.

 

We just decided that if they offered us a trip to Desire as a result of being 'overbooked' we would take it...hopefully that happens. One of our reasons for not going there is also the cost. Hard to beat the price at TTR, especially because we know what we get at TTR and there are uncertainties at Desire.

We love Desire. We enjoy the relaxing day, 24 hour service, nice beach beds and chairs, CC and Africa at the beach bar, rooftop jaccuzzi about 4 or 5p everday, dinner, shows outside the lobby, the disco, the late night pizza and do it again.

 

Just to qualify all of the above specific comments, the above refers to Desire Riviera Maya not Desire Pearl
