Hi Ashley. Thinking of quitting? Good for you! It's been almost 3 years for me. I used to smoke at least 2 packs a day for about 20 years. You really have to want to. I couldn't until I was at that point. PM me if you need anything. Good luck, and keep up posted!

My husband and I stop first for family reason in 2003. Then I started up again heading pre-Cancun of 05. I continue to smoke up until Jan 3 2007, here I stop for like five months from training early this year, but that was before they allowed me to go on pass once in Columbus, GA and that was the end of that streak. I just woke up one more and got tired of smell, the smoke, and the taste.

The more I drink is the more I want a cigarette.
I came to the conclusion the harder I work out, my brain begs for a cigarette, afterwards. (I know weird, but that is how I was).
It is also a lot harder when people around you smoke.

Nevertheless, "I'm going to make it happen."

I was curious, just like the lost weight thread, could this be made a sticky?

    done :)

If it continues to be a viable topic, it will remain a sticky

    Ashley,

I too quit after years of smoking ...

think of the money you'll save, money you can spend on vacations in Cancun!!!

I've heard of a lot of success stories using Chantix.

    Good Luck!!!!
    :D
