The last time we went, the beach was not very impressive, but having known that in advance, it was not a big deal. The beaches on Isla Mujeres are very nice, but the absolute nicest beach I have ever seen or been to was Playa Delfines. It is on the south end of the Hotel Zone. We took a hot sweaty bus ride to get there, but the views were absolutely marvelous! I think it is worth the trip to see. .
Yeah i Loved the resort but the beach was a dispointment. but its true .. there many beach around where u can go for the day. If you just want to lay on the beach then its a perfect spot! The sand is great and there plenty of spot available.
Is this a photo of Playa Delfines? The water looks so blue! What else set this beach apart from the others nearby in your opinion?
Yes! This is also a great beach and very easy to get to. Jump the bus outside Temptation and it takes you right there for 7 pesos!
beach?! This place has a beach? It must not be anywhere near the sexy pool or I would have seen it...
Seriously though, the beach here really isn't that bad, we were at the Sun Palace on the ocean side in 2009, and the Temptation beach does not compare to that. That being said, it was much better than what we had anticipated from the reviews, and relative to where we come from, the beach was gorgeous!
I've found in Cancun that the nicest looking beaches have a strong undercurrent and the calm water beaches are not the nicest looking, so it is a trade-off. The beach at the Intercontinental is actually quite nice and the waters are calm (and close) but the hotel is not a favorite of mine!
