We leave on Friday and I have exactly ZERO things packed. However, I think the only thing left to buy is sun screen & toothpaste. I just need to start piling it all into the suitcases.
He can get the sympathy vote. I know how harsh a knee injury is though. Killed my knee playing Volleyball a few years back. (i found put after that volleyball is one of the most recorded cause of knee injuries... who knew) Hyperextended, dislocated, relocated, tore the ligament all in like 2 seconds. snap crackle pop. MOST painful injury ever. Took 3 months to be able to walk on it again, and 6 to stop limping. Still have probs with it sometimes though. So hopefully he only has a sprain. quickest and lleast painful recovery time.
:aktion033:Wow, quite the list-good job. I agree, if I recall of the 99 things, I am pretty sure that most of those are on our list. Adding hair ties and curling irons and hair spray. Vitamin B- Helps to aid in non hangovers. Good call Jim by bumping up the posts level ! Yay - We are gettin closer - Yahoo:mnm: Bummer Deal about Max- Hope it goes well pretty lady. Bob & I have had 8 or more knee surgeries between us. Son of a-it sucks.
Thanks guys! We just got back from follow up doctor appt and they are recommending surgery for Friday morning!! He has torn his miniscus (spelling?) Its out patient, laproscopic...................THEY SAY he will be walking on it in 3 days?? The way it is now he can't walk on it much at all...............using crutches. Its not like we are coming to TTR for a 5K marathon so Im HOPING with a couple more days of rest recovery and alcohol that he will be good to go! May not be up for dancing but will be able to handle at least walking!! Either way...................we are gonna be laying by the sexy pool next Tuesday this time!! :aktion033:
They aren't exaggerating the recovery time. I had a 40% removal of my right medial miniscus and was back at work in 3 days, ableit limping. He'll end up using crutches on and off though. Stick RELIGIOUSLY to the recovery/rehabilitation workout suggestions! I'm sure you guys already know it but it makes a massive difference. I've had a few serious injuries and surgeries to fix myself, it always pays to follow the advice.
Well, we are sad to hear that he needs surgery but extremely happy to hear that you won't have to cancel your trip for it. Three tips: 1. Mention the surgery at check in so that you get a room that is close to the action. 2. If you have any good prescription drugs still by then make sure to keep them in your safe (I had a friend get their pills taken at TTR...but the electronics etc were untouched) 2. Skip playing vollyball and spend all time at the Sexy Pool partying!
