Ok, just a couple quick quesions about the Hold em tournament at My Place. The notice says its free buy-in but does the winner actually get some money or is it just for fun? How many people typically show up and is it ever "sold-out"? Thanks ps Did Italliani's use to be at the My Place location? Nice spot if it is.
The poker tournament date is past but yes, Italiani's used to be in the My Place location until moving to Plaza la Isla.
Are you sure TJ? I thought the texas hold em tournaments were still going every Wed, Fri, Sun. I checked the Myplace website: http://myplace-cancun.com/Events.cfm and it says it's every night, so now I'm getting really confused. Time to see if Joyce our Myplace expert is around to help us out. :lol:
Hi all - So as it stands right now, we have Texas Hold 'em tournaments on a nightly basis - if there are people interested, there's a game. Most popular nights continue to be Sunday and Wednesday, with Friday a close third. There is no buy in, and 1st and 2nd place winners win a prize - tshirts, bottle of booze, stuff like that. There is also an open bar option for the duration of the game, and depending on how many choose that option per game, it can get "interesting" (meaning perhaps a cash bonus). Is the wall of beers list recently updated? I went to the website and did not see my favorite. (Newcastle).
Hmm. I think it's updated to within the month - our web guy does monthly updates. I will find out if we have Newcastle, but it doesn't sound familiar to me. I'll let you know so you can bring it down.
