every night the entertainment crew at GP tries to recruit people to party downtown...its usually $50 for wristband that includes all the drinks, transportation TO the clubs and VIP service (bottle service). You just have to find your ride home (which is easy)

only time i party with the Entertainment crew is when i bring someone with me that never been to cancun and ill show them around....other than that, we stay and party and close down the tiki bar..then beach party with the bottles we bought from duty free

Just came back from Golden Parnassus, i really missed the Temptation the time i was there. Last week was really really boring nothings to do there, just a couple of really drunk couples. No atmosphere at all, last day we play bingo at the pool so imagine. BUT, this place had the best service i never had in any vacation ( no reservation for the a la carte, room service 24 hour , never wait for anything etc... . probably perfect place to relax but very very far from the Temptation. We went there for the beach and the red flag was there all week so no swimming at all that week for me.By chance i had my lover with me who took really good care of me to change my mind hi! hi!

Just got back from the Golden Parnasuss. It was our first time there. We went GP because Temptations was booked up. Have been to Temptations 4 times and find it is much better than the GP. Won't be going back to GP but will return to Temptations in the new year.

The food is much better at Temptations. The fun is much better Temptations. The activity staff were fine, but it just didn't have the same vibe! I frequently wished I was at Temptations, but especially when they started playing Bingo. GP is ok for a very very quiet getaway. It was "check for a pulse" dead during the first week of December. A lot of stairs, so keep that in mind if you have difficulty getting around, or get a little tipsy. There is an elevator however. TV is much better at Temptations, even if you exclude Ch 12.

Rooms were fine and the staff was accommodating. The beach is very nice, but can be very windy with heavy waves. Be careful. We had 7 days of sunshine so that was great.

Including taxes we paid about $800 per person.

We have been to both and overall like Temptations, due to the all out fun and energy of the place.
We were at GP just before Labor Day weekend this year and witnessed first hand what happened when GP did not pay their taxes to the government! Our first night there two trucks full of workers and Police pull in and start taking equipment from the resturants, chairs, tables, art from the lobby, and the pool table from the bar as collateral. Needless to say we were shocked and wanted to go home. By the middle of the next day everything was returned and came to find out they shelled out all the money owed that morning...not fun.
With that behind us we have to agree with all that have posted here that the beach at GP is the best and so was the food hands down. The entertainment staff at GP was lame and it was a snoozer for us. We took a bunch of day trips and bar tours just to have some excitement. The wife felt like everyone was wathcing her because she was the only one going topless at the beach and in thong at the pool at Gp. We even went on a booz cat cruise next to Temptations and stopped in and asked what a day pass cost just to hang by their pool vs GP's.
We will be at Temptations for the 2nd time Jan 10th thru the 17th 2012 and cant wait to get our freak on.
    We pick Temptations.

Let us know hotspot how that trip goes at Tempatation. We went to Temptation last summer and looking for something with just a little less of the young ones... The food was great however... but they had over carbonated the draft beer and was pretty much undrinkable... The beach at Temptation is just ok but they do provide plenty of shade. Sounds like GP would be perfect if you had the right couples to party with...... Have a safe and fun trip........ S & T

We enjoyed GP, but the party just wasn't there. They relied to much on trying to sell the bar tours each night and didn't have any real fun on site things to do. The food was top shelf and outstanding, our room was spotless and the service was great at GP but we wanted a bit more adult fun. They promote it as being a "Euro" type pool area but when the wife went topless you thought she was a lepper the way she got the looks. My wife is smokin hot and has nothing to hide but all the looky loos and nobody else going "Euro" made her feel wierd.
The beach is stunning at GP but we only go to lay out and not much swimming in the ocean so that is not a factor for us, but GP wins the beach compitition hands down.
Temptations and GP are two WAY different party pools, if you want the party and view go to Temptations no contest.
My wife just found her "Miss Blue Bay" shirt that she had when she won about 5 years ago. She is going to wear it around as a coverup and see how many true Temptationers know that the resort used to be Blue Bay before Temptations. She may have to show them why she won the title!:headbanger:

That's to bad she was made to feel uncomfortable... I would guess each visit may be different as depending on what type of people are there. Temptation I thought was rather dead in the evenings also... they give you a smattering of entertainment and then they want you off to the clubs out on the strip. Would be nice to have had a hot tub and the pool open at night. I guess there just isn't any perfect resorts and they are what you make of them.... oh decisions decisions....

It was so dead that we went on a booz cruise on a boat that left from the dock next to Temptations and when we got back my wife went and asked what a day pass cost. We were going to pay to party at THEIR pool and not ours, we even were going to extend our stay and move over to Temptations for a few days but they were booked (Labor day weekend). I won't make that mistake again. Temptations for us, matter of fact in just a week!
