11 trips to hedo and hedo 3. Haven't been back since I found Temptation ( blue bay getaway at the time) huge cost difference aside. Cancun Is hot in July.....hedo in July is just nasty hot and humid. Every once in a while I think about going for a return visit. Then I price it.....
We went to hedo last June, it was a bit of a disappointment. The resort is in dire need of serious renovation. They have done a few nice things over the last year from what I hear. We have never been to TTR. Going this June. I think if you're not in a group with people that you know well, you will feel like an outsider and might as well go to Sandals next door. The beach, man made, is crap, the food is not that great either. We had a hard time with the fact that if you want to be where the party is you HAVE to be naked, no option. If you think of nasty things in the sexy pool at TTR then you won't even get in the pool at Hedo. We found the crowd to be a good bit older than us and we are mid and late thirties. Not that age is an issue but the crowd defiitely thinned out the later it got. In retrospect we should have gone to TTR first. Hopefully we won't be as disappointed as we were with Hedo.
Visit Hedo II July 2014 with a group called the Fluffernutters had a great time and visiting July 2015 with the same group. In our opinion is very similiar to TTR with the exception that you can be fully nude. Room are very similiar to TTR rooms. Price TTR is price lower then Hedo II with Desire being more expensive of course rooms category's will make that change. Each resorts have pros and cons. A bit about us we are both 34 we are premier member with Desire and TTR vist TTR 6 times Desire 18 times so we have a good understanding. my two cents don't let people determine your decision the only way you'll find out if you like it is by visiting your self go with an open mind and you'll have a blast
I was actually deciding on a trip to Hedo, or to TTR in July. I am going back to TTR in June and October. I thought Hedo might be a good change in July. I'm just worried about going single, not naked lol.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I know we will eventually make a trip to hedo probably with a group at some point in the future. My husband has always wanted to experience jamaica. There's is quite I big difference in price when we checked so think we have decided on temptations probably end of June or early july. Hope to meet some of you guys!! We would have to agree with Andrea and mario. You just have to go and judge for yourself. We have been to he'd 5 times. On our first trip we met an awesome group. We have made great friends with all of them and went the next 4 times all together. That being said we've been to the 3 times in the last last year. We think it's a great party and probably a better value just from cost and travel time. You guys should come the 3rd week of june, it's going to be huge party!
Yes that's my worry. I just want the best bang for my buck. Lol We have 3 kiddos the youngest only a year so we never get time to ourselves or for party anymore. Have to make the most out of every opportunity!!!
We have been to both as well. The new ownership @ hedo is trying to improve the room and food quality, but it is reflected in the pricing! After our first visit to TTR, the biggest difference we found was the Vibe. TTR is much more of a social, party enviroment, especially at night. If you like to party and dance the night away, hedo will disappoint! There is really no comparison. Even setting aside the pricing, we would choose TTR, and will be returning!
