We booked Best day travel our first trip to Cancun and were not impressed.. I had them booked again last time and before we left I just ate the cost and booked USA Transfers. WAY better company to deal with. Taxis will rip you off taking you the long way to the hotel and some of them are pretty sketchy down there. We had a great experience with USA Transfers and will only use them now when we travel there.
We had them thrown in once. Got off an 11 hr flight that had been delayed for 5 hours. Was greeted, shown onto minibus, then they cleared off! Blanco went to find them. Apparently we were expected to wait for another couple off an American flight! I don't think so! Much arguing later we were on our way. Never again. USA Transfers are our only choice now, quick, easy, private transfers.
Best Day is part of your package, so it is already paid for ... U will be put in a van with other couples. U will probably be the last one off ... going to TTR. since TTR is the farthest from the Airport. U will have to go thru a meeting with a Best Day represented in the hospitality room once settled at the hotel to set up your timely pick up . They will try to sell U excursions ... just say NO politely . We met Best Day outside of the airport terminal, and was escorted to where we waited for our Van. about 30 minutes to sign in , wait , load up and hit the road. We stopped at 3 hotels before us... and got to TTR.. took about a hour. Polite and friendly. As I understand this: Others transfers will get U there faster, no pitched for excursions sales, etc.. U pay cash at the airport upon pickup. What works best for U ... but for us we will keep using Best Day as it comes with our package. good luck and have fun...
In my booking, we were offered a car for only $50 for the week.. and not even a small one. Does anyone know if this is a bad idea?
We tip $7 to $10 each way, depending on the driver and if he interacts with us. We have been many times and can only think of one time that the experience wasn't great and that's because or transfer was subbed out to another company.
You would have to do some searching on here but that quote does not normally include mandatory insurance etc and if you are not planning on any excursions you are better off to just book a transfer out of convenience.
