We have a bunch of TTR veteren smoker friends whom love to start each day early at the beach before heading up to the Sexy Pool for the afternoon. At the beach they smoke at will and recover from the evening before. They also like to sit at the beach Premier Bar. We join them often but dont smoke. If you have been on the beach you know it is a quiet chill atmosphere where you can hardly hear the Sexy Pool activities. With a short walk you are there...bam! It is just a different place to hang and with a different vibe just like the Quiet Pool and SkyBar and much better than attempting recovery in your room!
We really like the beach at Temptation... because while we're at/on that beach with our feet int he water... all we have to do is turn around, walk 50 feet, and Bam! Up the steps and back intot the Party!!
Stephanie says she gives the beach a 10 on days she is hung over and has to chill, and it is still close to the pool and friends, which is nice. It's pretty because of the white sand and palm tress for shade, but nobody is ever going to film a Corona commercial there. Overall, it's not bad. It doesn't have the big waves because it is on the wrong side for that, but it feels damn good between your toes anytime. It's more like a lake beach.
Don’t go the beach at Temptation. My friend got Cellulitis.. a bacterial infection from the water. She went into the water on Wednesday and since then her skin started itching. We reached home yesterday and first thing she did visit an urgent care...
The beach is not glamorous, but when the need to chill hits and you can't make it back to your room, a lounge chair under the shade of a tree is pretty hard to beat.
After working ED nursing for way too long, I just had to add my 2 cents. I have seen and worked with many who have had cellulitis . It’s a very common condition that bring many to the ED. One of two things happened here. The beach water at Temptation wasn’t her problem. Sounds as though she got in the water and when she got out she began to itch, and likely opening up her skin enough to invite bacteria into her system(germ are everywhere on our hands, hand washing is the best prevention to keep bacteria away, but that’s a joke. The other theory is that she already had an open area on her body, and again was itching and another invitation for bacteria. The ocean just wasn’t the culprit!! Hope she’s feeling better!!
