I do believe that you have a contract to that effect. This could be a HUGE win for PM. The only thing I think they can increase is the AI price. If the facility is upgraded, we could be big winners.
Too far out to worry about! I am assuming if you book it and then they shut down, they have always moved you to Pearl or RM. That could be a win win!!

From my translation of the article, the De la Pena family has had bad relations with the Hotelzone Board. This is not their idea but that of the Hotel Sone Board. They want to increase the number of rooms in the zone dramatically over a 16 year period!

They are intact waiting for the permits and that could take XX (plug in a number).

I would think that if they could rent another hotel and keep the cash flow coming that it would make all the sense in the world. Maybe a little bit smaller hotel would stop the faithful from running and keep their business pretty much the same.

That's why we are seriously considering rolling the dice in 2 weeks and buying a membership. A little bit of a hedge. Like Steve said (and who would know better), they aren't likely to change the concept. The location is not great, the beach sucks and they still make good money off of the property. It would be insane to mess with that. We may be a small percentage of the vacationers that go to Cancun but we are loyal and consistent and I'm sure Original Resorts is well aware of that.

 

Well I guess I will disagree with your comment. We have been going to TTR since it was BBG. Yes it does need repairs but for the price, you can not beat it!! We have gone to Hedo (try that one if you think these accommodations is way over priced) and TTR in Cabo as well as Desire in Cabo. (They were the same).

Like I said, they do need repairs but it is NOT over priced for the service and facilities you get!

The simple reality in my opinion is. There are many other AI hotels in Cancun that are both nicer and cheaper. If they raise the price the will absolutely push many of there base supporters to go to other resorts.

Foe the life of me I cant imagine TTR having 800+ rooms. It wouldn't be the same.

Time will tell what ends up happening but if this does happen they better tread very carefully or they will loose the cash cow they have been enjoying.

That and there will be a hell of s lot of us that will need to find a place that will allow the kind of party we all are accustomed to.

That and there already is a great party starting for MayHem. They cant try and send all of us somewhere else

 

OK, there would have to be a toilet seat rule. Up or down?
