Temptation will be closing its doors

You think that is a joke but if you only knew you would realize it is a sad reality lol

 

I was thinking about that and i'm thinking/hoping that they may stay relatively the same. My train of thought is that right now everyone can agree that for the accomodations Temptation is way over priced, we basically all pay for the party and cause thats where our friends are......Once they do renovations, technically the place will be worth what we are currently paying so if they keep it around the same we will all continue to go and all those people that dont go because the price isnt worth the accomodations will start going too, allowing them to fill all those extra rooma...If they raise the price it will once again not be worth the quality of the accomodations and a lot of us may stop going as well......who knows tbough, just my thoughts/wishfull thinking

 

There were 6-8 of them being worked on at once. Each in various degrees of work. All had the doors off and sheets up at the door so I had to pull them back to take a quick pic. They were either painted or being painted. Closet doors, light fixtures, furnishings (mostly), wall decorations and drapes mostly removed. In one they were putting up new wall fixtures as the painting had already been done.

 

Last January our Jacuzzi room had water dripping down the wall from the roof in the bathroom, and after a day or two there was a huge puddle on the floor (the initial "fix" was to put a towel on the floor), the lights actually shorted out and we had to move rooms. It wouldn't surprise me that they needed some major fix ups just to be functional.

If you have the "ear" of the leadership, perhaps they should consider a temporary rebrand to "Temptation" for one of the Riviera Maya resorts, or just outright purchase a struggling property there. it doesn't sound like the Temptation most here love and enjoy will be the resort that will exist at Blvd. kulkucan 3.5 once they are done here. Adult spring break sounds like it will change to a more RIU or Palace format, which is not what I come to Mexico for... as I like to say, I like a little crazy with my Mexico.....

First rule of being a woman at Temptation is DO NOT APPROACH THE CSG lol This will result in a conversation that you do not want to have.

 

We all know how timetables slip very easily...hopefully the shutdown is AFTER June - for purely selfish reasons.

 

Sadly I have to agree. With the major changes, a change in the hotel concept will surely follow.

 

I disagree, here. The vibe may change, yes, but I think the concept sticks. They seem to have a stranglehold on going after the "Spring-Breaking Adults". Others have tried to copy, but failed miserably and gave up quickly.

As long as the party and concept stays the same, we'll still have the same place to go. Tab and I have long said it's the not the hotel, but it's the people there that keep us coming back. You may change the buildings but as long as you don't force us out, you'll see us year after year.

 

Maybe time for a kickstarter to open another resort... lol
