    Trip report for Feb 27 - March 5, 2012.
This was my husband’s and my first trip to Cancun, so we were also new to Temptation. His sister had been there a few years ago with friends and suggested it as our vacation this year. The price was right, the time of the year was great, so it all fit together perfectly. We left cold weather in Pennsylvania and were greeted with warm Mexican sunshine and blue skies.

TRANSFER: We booked a private transfer from the airport and I can’t ever imagine using a public transfer again. It was wonderful to leave the airport and be at the resort in 15-20 minutes. There were no other hotels to go to first so it felt a bit luxurious.

FRONT DESK: I found the staff at the front desk to be nice and personable. They all spoke very good English and there was never a language barrier. Our check-in was delayed because we arrived prior to 3pm, but the staff was very polite and urged us to use the resort until a room was available. We exchanged USD into pesos several times throughout the week and we received no problems there. Our safe broke one morning, and the front desk had the repairman there in about 30 minutes to fix it, and time was critical because we had a fishing charter to get to by a certain time. Our room key demagnetized one day and they replaced it without complaints.

ROOM: We got room 5323, thank our lucky stars - we read that the rooms in the 5000 blocks were nice because they were quiet. I’m a VERY light sleeper, so the smallest sounds wake me up, and after being at Paty O’s on several nights, I’m glad our room was spaced a fair distance away from all the hoopla. We had a king bed and had the room layout that included the window that looked into the sink/toilet area. We also had double showerheads in the shower, which was an unexpected plus about the room. We found that if the shower door was pulled open the entire way, it covered the toilet if you wanted a bit of visual privacy - however, there was nothing to mask or deter the sounds or smells coming from the toilet area, haha. I loved the bed and the pillows, having preference to a firmer mattress and soft cushy pillows. Sure, there’s not much comparing my Tempur-pedic, but it was decent as far as hotel beds are concerned. We never shut off the “sexy lights” in our room, either. I found them to be rather helpful in the middle of the night in lieu of a night light.

POOLS: Personally, I never used anything but the Sexy Pool. The hubby and future-brother-in-law (F-BIL) used the Sports Pool a couple of times for volleyball, and F-BIL used the Quiet Pool in a couple of occasions. I set my alarm clock (brought from home) every morning at 5am so I could reserve pool chairs at the Sexy Pool - you might’ve seen our shirts if you were there - we were the Thing 1, Thing 2, etc red shirts… Anyway, this is where the action was. I loved the activities and games that the entertainment staff put together. The hubby participated in the Belly Flop contest and did not win, but still had a fun time. We missed the Beer Chugging contest, which he claims he would’ve won without much competition, haha. The pool was a lot bigger than it looked in photos. The bartenders hooked us up with very strong drinks. There were zero watered down drinks here. We brought along an inflatable beer pong table and used it quite frequently while at the pool. The temperature of the water could have been a few degrees warmer for my liking, but it certainly didn’t stop me from being in the water a lot. The water was clean, rarely cloudy, and the staff worked hard to keep it clean.

I had very strong opinions about keeping my top on the entire vacation… and while this remains mostly accurate (the girls only “slipped out” once, just to flash my hubby), I must confess that I was surprised at how many women were actually topless. All shapes, ages and sizes were topless. More power to them! My comfort zone = bikini top. The human body is like a work of art and should be admired, and I honestly admired all of the bodies I saw at Temptation. After the first initial shock of thinking “Look at all the boobs!” it just became very natural and I pretty much quit noticing the whole “topless optional” part.

FOOD: I have absolutely no complaints about the food at Temptation. We tried every restaurant and loved the food. We had the buffet every morning for breakfast, and while it was mostly the same thing each day, it was still good and there was something that everyone should be able to find to eat. The MTO omelet bar and quesadillas were amazing, and I couldn’t start my day without a glass of the banana milkshake. We mostly hit up Margarita’s Snack Bar for lunch. I loved the pizzas there! For dinner, we took turns trying out each restaurant. I LOVED the Asian place - the little egg rolls that came on the table appetizer were to die for! We made sure to order Sexy Coffee at the Italian place at the end of our meal, which was a nice treat for the eyes and the taste buds. I found the food to be very good and tasteful. Neither my husband or myself experienced any food poisoning, though he started to take some anti-diarrhea medicine toward the end of our week.

SPA: Treated myself to a package at the spa - the regeneration package, which included a facial, full body mud wrap and a 50-minute hot stone massage. It was a heavenly experience, nothing short of pure bliss, and worth every penny. Sigh.

NIGHTS: We attended Paty O’s Lounge several of the nights for the theme nights. We had a lot of fun during the lingerie Night casino at Nice Shoes Disco. The DJ seemed to play a lot of the same music every single night so the music started to feel tired, but we’re not super-duper late night people and retired to our room by midnight or 1am. We made sure to grab burgers at Paty O’s since we heard such fabulous reviews about them! The night when they had the pool party, the dancing show left a lot to be desired (since being to other all-inclusive that had fantastic dancing shows each evening).

Boobs Cruise: The day of our cruise, it was cloudy and very windy, and the water looked very choppy. The hubby and I were convinced it would’ve been cancelled, but the show went on as planned. A few people decided to stay behind, including F-BIL since he’s very prone to sea-sickness (and he’d been worrying about it the entire week, so it was set in his mind that he’d probably get sick). The boat is big though, and sliced through the waves nicely, and with the free-flowing drinks, the weather and rough waters were soon forgotten. I cannot stress this enough - the Boobs Cruise is awesome. I, of course, drank WAY too much (and I mean way, way, way, way, way too much - those rum punch drinks sneak up on you!!!!), so my recollection of the entire cruise remains a bit on the fuzzy side, but there were lots of photos taken to help jog my memory. I started the cruise with a tankini, bought a boobie band when we stopped for lunch, and wore that, for the most part, for the rest of the cruise. After some dancing, and many many many rum punches, there’s photographic evidence that my boobie band slipped down a few times, haha. We met Steve and think he’s great - thanks for all your hard work for setting up the cruises - what a terrific job! After returning to the resort, I was comatose for the next 13 hours - yes, that’s correct, 13 hours. I rarely drink anyway, so it hit me HARD, and immediately went to bed and stayed there until 6:30 the next morning, save for a few runs to the toilet to pray to the porcelain gods. I managed to ingest a couple bottles of water and two packages of Medi-lytes (rehydration pills usually used for athletes when their muscles are cramping from dehydration, but it helps to have a hubby that’s an athletic trainer and inventive, and I’ve found that they work miracles after a night of heavy drinking), so when I woke up at 6:30am, I actually felt pretty darned normal.

SHOPPING: We took the bus (R1 or R2) toward Coco Bongo so we could do some shopping. We haggled and bartered and ended up with some pretty good deals. Sometimes the salesmen can be a bit annoying, but you need to have a strong will, know your limits, and stick with your guns to get a good price. They will eventually lower their price. If all else fails, start to walk away, and they will literally chase after you to lower their price to make a sale.

CONCLUSION: All in all, we loved our first trip to Temptation. We really liked the super sexy adult atmosphere that we’ve never gotten anywhere else (and we’ve stayed at two other adult-only all-inclusive resorts [Punta Cana and Jamaica] before). While the topless optional wasn’t the main thing that enticed us to this resort, it was great to see all of the confidence that exuded from everyone. We chatted and hung out with a few people from the forum, and hopefully made some new friends that we can continue keeping in touch with. We had a very fun week, full of sunshine and warm temperatures, topped off Bubba Kegs, and memories that we never would’ve been able to make anywhere else. Will we recommend this resort to friends? Of course! Will we return? Perhaps. There are many other places in the world we want to visit and experience before we turn into “repeaters.” :xyxthumbs:
