My husband and I also do not follow the lifestyle but are open to what makes you happy is what you should do. Being in that environment with the open minds allows you to find your own lane! It is fun, sexy and still allows you to feel safe and comfortable in your own skin!
At Temptations you can be sexually adventurous and don't have to worry about people acting weird. Topless is fine or semi naked even at Paty'O. People are friendly for the most part. You don't have to do anything your not comfortable with. While at other resorts we stayed on the beach and relaxed and most people ignored you. At Temptations we enjoyed being on the resort and interacting with people. Best vacation we had that involved more than just tanning and eating.

I never really thought about having to be a mixed sex couple. I guess there wouldn't really be a way to regulate knowing if it is a true couple or just people pretending so they can book. But that doesn't seem fair to people that are in the LG community. Hopefully there are plenty of other places that cater more towards them.
I guess I just want to add an experience. My wife likes to tan topless and was careful to do this only on the beach at another resort. In a non high traffic area. She literally got surrounded by some older ladies who watched us for a couple hours. At Temptations most women are topless. Even the ones who don't aren't offended by it! It's that freedom to be topless and enjoy a type of sexual freedom that's just not allowed at a regular resort (unless you get extremely lucky or sneaky). In relation to swinging, we are relatively low end on that scale but still love that people aren't shocked by my wife being bi and appreciates the ladies. In general, we have never been to a place as open as Temptations to differient sexualities and non judgmental attitudes. People are more interested in just partying and enjoying whatever than worrying about your sexual proclivities. I am not saying the place is perfect or you will never meet a creepy person but we had a better time there than on the last three trips to Mexico!
We are new to TTR as well we were there in Oct and had so much fun that we are going back this Feb. We now get to experience what is called Feb "shitshow" sooo excited. I have already made friends on here for Feb, It's the Unstuffy friendly people and the party that makes you go back again and again. I just know that if I ever look at another RIU I'll vomit lol
We are going (3rd trip) feb 10-17. We will be there for some of the "shit show" also! We have met great people each time we have been and will see old friends from our first visit this year! Honestly 90% of the people you will meet will be good long lasting friends! You can be yourself and not worry about what anyone thinks of you. There is no judging! 19 days and counting!!!!
