This reminds me of Turkey 25 years ago. We loved it, not for the standard of the hotels, after all it's only a place to sleep, but for the attitude of the people. We found them to be the friendliest we had ever met and we convinced a lot of our friends to go and they loved it as well. THEN you would meet the odd person who hated the place, expecting the same standards that they got in Spain or the Canaries. Different strokes for different folks I suppose, but to come bitching on the hotels forum ? well that's just stoopid.
Does anyone really think that TTR is really 4 star? There is some lousy food there, but also some things that are great. If you drink the crappy booze and are not smart enough to ask for the better stuff, well you deserve what you get. You are correct about room service never answering the phone, and you thought they would? Hello, this is Mexico. You are correct that the hotel is old. So are most hotels in Cancun, and you could have gotten the age of the hotel off the internet before you booked your reservation. Feel free to never return and your choice to tell others that you hated the hotel. TTR has one of the highest rate of repeaters in Cancun, so realize that you have the minority opinion.
I agree, he is looking for attention and he's getting it ..I say let the thread die and ignore him.. we all know that TTR is the best place ever!!..
EVeryone has the right to their own opinion..however it boggles my mind why they would postthat hete...maybe they werent able to make any "friends" that week. Crack a smile next time,its free.
We had breakfast room service a couple times, there is a card on your door, just fill it out leave it on the door knob outside and they will deliver in the am... we also asked for bacon and they added it.. We found they would send up way to much food .... speaking of KNOB's...glad to know one less going to TTR. We're still thinking about going back again in April.. just been so busy lately haven't really had the chance to check things out... hope to see you guys there again. deb
