Temptation Room Perks

re Desire,,, I would totally pissed if after paying that much money at a 5 *, some one told me I was a second class guest.
It would have ended with me either staying in the Bed or being thrown out.

They tried a similar thing with me In Cabo ,, and they let me stay when they saw I would not move.

TTR being a 3.5 star resort , I can understand paying for upgrades , but not a 5*


Just have to play the game for pool loungers just like any other resort, if you want the cream of the crop of chairs get up early ..

No daybeds around the pool , there buy the beach,,,, loungers, during sold out weeks you need to get one by 6am.

We have been to both and really like the atmosphere at Temptation, a lot more activity. If you are a member you get a few more perks. We have found treating the housekeeper and bartender well will get you a lot!

The biggest room perk at this time of year is an air conditioner that will cool the room below 80 degrees!

Man, no kidding, I'd be pissed too, considering that I don't pay over $2K for it.

At TTR, you'd want to get the dinner reservation by getting them set up at the hotel, typically you an do this during the day - I forget the times as we're members since 2012 and we just tell the desk - and you can get in. It's easy, I think. The "window" of time, if you will, is like 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. I think? (Someone who knows/remembers hook me up here). There's the seafood grill thing, where you can get the Drops of Love = Lobster dinner thing Donald mentioned (I personally think Drops of Love is not the greatest thing to spend one's money on -- a much better investment, in my own humble opinion, would be on 3 bottles of alcohol-infused whipped cream and a willingness to publicly share said bottle around the sexy pool swim-up bar).

Rooms come in all sorts of sizes and shapes at TTR as the building is sort of unique, in a way growing organically during the several renovations over the past 30, maybe 40-odd years. I think that's right, isn't it y'all? The original portion of the hotel was built in the mid-70's? Grew again in the 80s and again in the 90s?

Anyway, you can have a view of the "Garden," which won't be any sort of a garden you are used to, or a ocean-view (where you can see the ocean if you go outside and turn your head sometimes, or an ocean front (if you get one of the Temptation Suites (I dug those, but not worth the upgrade IMO).

But... perquisites? Nah. Not just for the room.

Perqs if you bring goodies to the pool for your newest 25 friends you never knew you had to share? That's guaranteed to get you perqs!

 

Jeez, we just go for a basic room and we get clean sheets every day too, often twice a day. :angel2::huh:

 

We have been to TTR 20times? We have treated the staff with respect and have always been super happy with service on all levels. Our experience is it doesn't matter what room. How long are you in your room anyways? As sooon as we walk into the buffet our favorite wait staff recognizes us knows what we drink.
