Has anyone heard of the construction casuing traffic issues in Cancun? Especially on the highway that takes you to Puerto Morelos. I called to get rates for a car rental yesterday, and the rep on the phone, in Cancun, told me that highway has about a 2 hour traffic jam caused from construction. It's usually a 30 minute drive to Puerto Morelos.
We were at Desire in October and they made a big deal out of the construction. It did cause some delay but it was maybe an hour. Of course rush hours may make it different. And we weren't driving.
