they shut the buffet down on our second day (may 1) there as the swine flu pandemic was sweeping the far reachesof the galaxy and killing millions upon millions daily all over the world (or at least thats the way it was hyped by the media and beleived by the wandering herd) would say that since they closed down the buffet they should have gone completely casual at the specialties since the buffet was closed down - thank god i brought some jeans
6 days and counting! i can barely stand it! 2 questions... can women wear flip flops with a dress as long as they're not the plastic kind? can women wear pants/jeans as well or does it have to be a dress or skirt? tee-shirts ... not meaning a screen printing, collegiate, beer type tee-shirt... but say a nice banana republic or gap vneck without any logos on it... is that acceptable with a nice pair of linen pants or jeans?
Pants or no pants. That is the question? We just returned last Sunday and they have closed the buffet at lunch and dinner due to the fact that occupancy is so low. What this does is force everyone to eat in the specialty restaurants every night. Their are those people that go to the resort and expect to be able to wear shorts all day and night which is understandable since they are in a tropical setting. They may wear a little nicer shorts to dinner, but they are shorts. I always bring a couple pair of slacks so we can eat at the specialty restaurants a couple times while we are their, but for the people that read on the Temptation web site that they have a buffet that they can wear shorts to and they plan on doing that and they get their and they are told that the buffet is closed for dinner that puts them in a situation where they have to eat at the Tex Mex or burgers every night or go off site to eat after paying an all inclusive. I would not be against management changing the rules temporarily to allow men to wear presentable shorts and a collared shirt to dinner. I am sure they could come up with something or they need to post something on the Temptation web site stating the fact that options for dinner are limited and to be prepared to wear apropriate attire.
