Blanco was refused entry at Pearl's "posh" restaurant for wearing leather open toed sandals, even though he was in a collared shirt and smart trousers. No worries though, he just nipped back to the room to change. We don't mind standards! :daisy:
I think what bother's me is that the standards aren't consistant. They make you jump through hoops to eat and then you look over at the next table and there's a guy who hasn't complied. I think they need to relax the rules and save us all luggage space by allowing dress shorts and dress sandals in all the restaurants.......We are on vacation.............:brick:
I think they just need to enforce the rules or don't have the rules. Completely agree that it's not always consistent. If your lady wants to get all dressed up for dinner than the man should wear something nice too.
Does anyone know if they serve meat at the seafood restaraunt? I love seafood but the GF cant stand the stuff.
From the TTR website: Buffet El Embarcadero- Dress code: no shorts, no t-shirts, no jeans and no sandals (must only be enforced at dinner) Il Piacere, Bellavista, The Village Wok - Dress code: no shorts, no t-shirts, and no sandals Margarita's Snack Bar & Grill - no dress code listed
Oh wow, so im going to have to take a pair of proper pants with me to eat in Buffet El Embarcadero? That kinda sucks, i would have thought jeans and polo would have been smart enough.
See ... very confusing!! We have vaca'd 4 times in the last 2 years August will be our 5th trip to TTR and my hubby has dressed in stylish jeans/shirt and open toe dress sandles in all the restaurants and we have never been turned away - the only time I'd ever seen someone turned away was individuals who came in hammered, wet and still in swimsuits lol!! As long as you look presentable would be my understanding of how staff gage who they allow in or not - rule of thumb - dress more up then down and test it out - like someone else stated ... it isn't that far to the room if need be. :xyxthumbs:
I would say jeans and a polo is fine for the buffet. I have noticed the buffet isn't as sticky with the dress code as some of the other places. And in all honesty i have seen khaki shorts and polos at the specialty restaurants before. ~Shawna
