It does work that way, actually - its simple science - drinking things alcoholic beverages with sugar such as wine, beer (which is liquid bread and broken down is converted to sugar) triggers a glycogin spike. If you think that drinking 6 beers a day is going to make you just as fat as drinking six ounces of whiskey a day, that would be incorrect. There's a reason its called a beer belly and not a whiskey belly. Google it.

lol I think TTR is the only resort people have to train their liver for before they go:D
Our only preparation is dieting a bit and upping the exercise routine. I was working out 3 days a week before, after booking I upped it to 5 days a week and 6 days every other week(adding a run or something)

Absolutely. Our lives play out in some sort of cosmic equation that is seemingly one part random probability, one part hereditary predisposition, and one part lifestyle choice. At the end of the day, do what you want while keeping in mind that everything action you take has a predominantly positive or negative reaction.

I am a tequila drinker and drink it 4 times a week about with club soda, squeeze of lime, Or maybe lime and ginger juice. If I am having a drink in the morning like with brunch I go for a bloody maria(Bloody Mary with tequila verse vodka). I love the Maria because at least the drink calories are healthy tomato juice, that's what I tell myself. To me anytime you can cute sugar out of your diet your better off.

Tomato juice unless it's low sodium version is full of salt so no it's not that good for you. ( and I don't think they serve the low-sodium ).
Your body also need sugar to properly function. ( I do get it from fruits in my shake ).

    -----------

I don't train my liver.. I don't like to be drunk.. just have a buzz ( you know the feeling of when you go to bed but everything around you turn ( I Hate It ).
Usually I do vodka, water and mio/lemon juice splash. and I make sure to have as well a full food belly and also have a few glasses of water each day. I allow myself to have a sugary drink or 2 a day ( mango/tango or drunk monkey are my favorite ). During the night I usually tho whiskey/rum with diet coke then switch back to water /mio :) in 7 days, I bring 10 small bottle of mio and usually I bring back 2-3 maybe.

But right now I don't consume any alcohol and If I do, I'll go for a whiskey and diet coke/ coke zero. :)

You're both right. Calories are not created equal. However, i think LL was referencing TDEE. If you remain within your allotted daily calorie deficit, and fit it into your macros, you should still be ok. Can still lose weight eating 1000 calories a day of twinkies but clearly you won't be healthy.

I would agree that they are not serving low salt but since I am Hypotension I can eat as much salt as I please. Actually Drs tell me I don't eat enough salt. I think this is one of those things that not everyone is made the same and different people need different things. Also when I refer to Sugar I am speaking of processed and added to food not something natural to the food you are eating.
