I am confused Steve, I thought Temptation paid for advertising here....if they dont then they should, it was this site that helped me do my research and influenced my decision...... Ohhhhhh, sorry to hear that redhead....your block is unjustified....mine, they had something to hide, I was complaining... Advertising and marketing is the same anywhere in the world and that Facebook page is being managed stupidly and they should start paying advertising fees, since I joined I have seen many new members here asking the same questions, this site leads to who knows how many bookings over there annually....
Is this the site on Facebook that Mario does? Temptations addicts ? Or one of the other ones? We did get a free night when we booked from a premier promo. Some day maybe they will realize just how much Steve helps promote them, always though it was strange that Steve and Janet had to pay to stay there, they should let them stay free whenever they want and roll out a red carpet to greet them!!!!! I don't think it's so much about negative feed back here as it is about Steve's Boobs cruses, taking away from from their booze cruses, gee you would think they would do the math and figure out that a lot of people go there and return because of this site!
I totally agree with comments above. It was only through reading Temptation posts on cancuncare (both positive and negative) that persuaded me to book our holiday in January. Looking at the official Temptation website told me nothing, and their official promo videos on youtube actually put me off - made it look like it was spring break 24/7. It's only through the posts on here that tell you exactly how it is, and the type of people that go, that persuaded me it is an ok resort. So they make a loss on their booze cruise, so what? Shouldn't that tell you something if people prefer Steve's over the resorts? I bet there's many more like me that would not have bothered to try Temptation without cancuncare's approval of the place.
Temptation is like any other medium sized business with a couple of hundred employees. It's only really the people at the upper levels who view the business as a whole. Many of those people are very happy with the publicity this site gives the hotel, and we have some solid relationships with senior figures. The vast majority of staff, however, are doing 'jobs' and dont think or care about the bigger picture concerning themselves only with their small facet of day to day work. This means that depending on who you talk to you will find differing opinions and those opinions are invariably influenced by whether they feel cancuncare adds or takes away from their pay packet at the end of the week. There are people in both camps, but those who feel cancuncare takes from them are usually the more vocal.
No way we ever would have gone for our first time in '07 without the opinions and information on this site. This site has to be a boon for them.
I concur I never would have even known the place existed. But, its like any other upsell opportunity. This site, in some ways, cuts off the upsell, or at least informs you beforehand. So I am not surprised that some people dont like it. its sort of like saying don't buy the extended warranty at Best Buy because you can get it on squaretrade.com for half the cost
I check this site frequently and it only makes me more and more excited to see what all the buzz about. The Trip Reports, friends that are made and organized theme nights are a huge component to CC that Temptation should tap into.
