In some of the pics I have seen there are some really nice bed type lounges’, are these still there?

If you just want to lie on the beach all day and soak up the rays, it's just fine. It's not the best for swimming and frolicking (not that you do that) but you can with no worries. I suggest all the free water sports.
The big waves are further down the Hotel Zone as are the really nice beaches. You're going to have a good time, no doubt.

The beach area is pretty good for laying in the shade under one of the dozens of palapas. Never a problem getting a chair. Pretty quite compared to the Sexy Pool.

White sand up to the water line, and then lots of rocks seaweed. No surf on that part of of the Cancun beach.

Diego's bar is just a couple steps off the beach.

I am sure we have spent more time on the beach at night than during the day

    the beach..

The fact is... If you really like the beach and don't like getting involved Temptations may not be for you.. There is a beach and as you see it isn't the center of attention.. But my ex- hated the fact that the beach was so small and that there was so much sea weed. When I tried to get her involved with the activities she declined and went to the quiet pool.. Hence why she is now my ex-. :) if you want to have a nice beach you may want to try an different resort like the Riu...

Thats my two cents, take it or leave it..

The beach is not anything like the ones further south....not much sand, no waves so to speak...it is along side the small resort marina...so outside of needing some quiet no real reason to go there....the sexy pool is where ALL the FUN is during the day.....just depends on what you want....if you are going for peace and quiet then the quiet pool would be the place to be....if you are going for anything else the sexy pool hands down...this is a resort you go and meet people join in and have fun.......
