I worked at a radio station for 2 years in college as a DJ, my best friends spin house, techno, and rap at a club called Sound Factory in chicago, I think I know what house is! And fashion, I have no problem in that department either................ but house will not take over in the united states, its just not looked at as real music by 85-90% of americans! I enjoy it, so dont take this as a bashing, its just there are too many people to like other things! Time will tell.........
not sure, who knows, it gets like this lately! One day there are 20 people posting in here, then the next, 2 or 3 people for the majority of the day. As spring break gets closer, the board will keep getting crazier! Wohhooooo
i think you have misunderstood me.... i dont think it will take over the US, because it has no where near taken over over here, but its popular... break america in the meaning that it will be popular and you cant say never, rap RnB and all that wasnt as big as it is now x amout of years years ago... did you dance to NWA when you was a teenager?
actually yes I was listening to NWA when i was a teenager! You cant "dance" to that, but I listened to that just as how I listen to lil wayne now! I see your point a little more clearly now, it may or may not take off, the jury is still out.........
I had a similar conversation with some of the American people I met last year. I got the impression that in America dance music is more closely linked to hard drugs (coke, etc). It's more niche there, but has some excellent songs. Music is the Answer by Danny Tenaglia is legendary. He basically started 'jungle house'...which has morphed into what people call funky house now...then the hed kandi stuff combined that with old school. Maybe :?:
Ugh who cares about the music..We shall all be hammered anyways..Any music will sound good in the clubs in Cancun!
