Hello all. I apologize if this has been covered but j haven’t been on here in a while and I’m not sure where to look. Is there a posted thread for when takeovers take place? We are looking at October 22-26 2024, January 17-21 2025, February 13-17, or sometime the week of March 22-30, 2025. Not a fan of takeovers so trying to avoid one when deciding. also, October dates are during week (due to childcare stuff). Is mid week October boring? Thanks so much!!

We have went the past 4 Octobers and had an amazing time every year. As for Takeovers, MochaFest is earlier in October and January-March is usually takeover free (Tryst in April normally kicks off takeover seasons).

Midweek can actually be more fun some dates and easier to meet people as you don’t get the holiday “look at me” Instagram crowd that can swarm some of the weekends.

I like that idea! Maybe we'll try that next time.

A takeover can range from just a portion of the resort being reserved for a privet group or basically the entire resort dedicated to the event. The takeover can also vary on the extent of what they take over at the resort. It can be as elaborate as having their own DJ, exclusive areas and events to just have some rooms and dinners. You have to do some due diligence on what the takeover will entail. Dont count on the resort to give you all the info you need to do some digging. As for deciding if you want to go during a takeover that is a personal decision some people are indifferent, and some hate it.
Im beginning my 2025 planning. So far, I have only found 2. Revive Temptation Tower 2025- Oct 14th, 2025 to Oct 19th, 2025. and Tryst 2025 Resort Takeover Apr 22nd, 2025 to Apr 27th, 2025.
Before Meches closed there was a rumor on the coconut telegraph that TTR was going to stop doing take over after the current multi-year contracts expired. Who knows if that is true or if the decision has changed.
