They do...unless they've taken it down. It was posted in this thread: http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=29293
What you're seeing is a combination of: - Herd mentality (must do what everyone else has done/will be doing), and - Tunnel vision (Focusing on reaching the destination rather than enjoying the trip) It's a rather well documented cultural phenomena that's core to the existence (and continued viability) of places we refer to as "tourist traps". I feel the same way about AI's as well in a place like Cancun, but you see how many really prefer that closed-resort environment. Thankfully many good alternatives still exist for tacos and other great foods, beverages, and entertainment in Cancun - due in large part I believe because the local population wouldn't be caught dead at places like the Taco Factory.
Please dont hotlink pics from other websites. I know it adds quality to the thread but it's not really fair to expect other website owners to foot the bill for the bandwidth that we are using from their server by posting them here. Plus their pics are their copyright and we shouldnt reproduce them without permission.
Ana, they have a point - perhaps? Although there are few excuses outside of familiarity and fear - or at least ambivalence towards the exploration of the unknown - for the dinner crowd to eat there... ...it is possible that there may not be anywhere else to get tacos (or some other equally quick and easy food) in a well-attended environment that you can safely stumble to, stumble around in, and stumble home from at 3 am in the morning. Micro-monopolies (aka niche markets) have surely demonstrated themselves to be successful business models.
