What about bringing Wendy's back to Cancun?

Ok, slam me now. But I like their menu and if I had to choose between Wendy's and McD's I'd totally choose Wendy's.

I've discussed this several times with my Mexican friends, all of them (who have been to a Taco Bell) agreed it would do well here as an alternative to the same ol', same ol' tacos here....

I would LUV to have American Tacos here in Cancun! I say bring it on!

Don't know if this is an urban myth, but I remember hearing that opening a Taco Bell was attempted elsewhere in Mexico a while back. Apparently confusion reigned (I think they were suspicious about the Cheese Whiz "cheese" on taco bell products, and the store closed shortly thereafter.

The article says they opened on in Mexico City in 1992 but it failed to generate any real business so the location slosed.

Taco Bell is good drunk food, but Jack in the Box tacos and White Castle sliders definitely can hit the spot.

Terminal 3 at in Cancun has some sort of an American burger joint. I think it is Johnny Rockets, or something like that. Excellent burgers and fries after a several day drunk in Cancun.
