We have been to Cancun Desire 5 times and were at the grandopening of the Cabo resort. Wish the Cabo resort was still open as Desire. Yes, Desire is very much a nudist, swingers resort. All adult, couples only and over 21 I believe. We love it there each time we stay. The food is outstanding compared to the other resorts that the De La Pena Family owns. The staff is always great and always takes special care of us. We have not been to Temptations but we have been to the Blue Bay Family resort. One time and the last time. From now on its Desire Reosrt and Spa for us. Maybe a Temptations resort on occasion but it wouldnt be our first choice.
how would desire compare to hedo? In looking at trip options, it's actually cheaper for us to go to hedo than desire (even with the more expensive tickets to Jamaica).
Desire is couples only so the ration of men to women is 1:1 Hedo has a ration closer to 4:1 Men to women from what were told. If you visit the Desire website they are running a 5th night free promotion through September. a 7 night stay is about $2,100. Hedo is running about $1800. 3rd night free promotion. You can get a 9 night stay for $2100 We prefer the ratio of men to women at Desire. We pay more but its worth the cost for us to have an even ration of men and women and not deal with the single guys.
Now that's an important statistic! 5 to 1, seriously? Wow, that's pretty bad. In conversation, hedo has always be "the" place with regards to sexy fun time resorts... Never heard of it being overrun with dudes! lol We're looking at only 4 nights, so we wouldn't be able to take advantage of the special deal at desire, so really it would pretty much be a wash, pricewise, between desire and hedo. Temptation would be significantly less expensive. Hmm, this is getting tough!
the ratio's are just what we have heard from people that we know that have gone to Hedo. We have never been. As soon as we found out Desire was couples only we settled on that resort as it fell within our comfort zone. It might be worth atleast one night at Desire. Something different and new or see if hey offer day passes if your staying at Temptations.
Went to desire last year and have been to Temptations twice and never been to hedo. Temptations is more of a stepping stone to going to a place like desire if that makes any sense. Sounds like you don't need a stepping stone so I would suggest desire. Temptations is just a fun resort, you may or may not be disapointed if you are looking to swing there, The only swinging I saw at temptations was at the bar on the swing. Desire there was lots of swinging and I doubt you would be dissapointed. As wild as people think temptations is it is tame or ultra conservative compared to desire in the sexy department. I like the term swayers that is a good one. I like both places they are just different.
We are Hedo regulars. Hedonism men to women ratios fluctuate all the time depending on the various travel groups that are there. Some groups are full of singles, some are almost exclusively couples. It all depends on the time of year. The travel groups usually go at the same time of the year. We go in late March with the Hedo Amigos and they are almost 99% couples. Temptation also fluctuates as well. We were there on July 4 last year and this year and it was defiantly a sausage fest both times.
Have to agree, Temptations is no where near as wild as people try to make it out to be. We were there in 2004 when it was the Blue Bay Getaway and found it a very childish place but we returned a year later and had a much better experience. Think it depends what crowd you hook up with and we were very lucky to hook up with a great crowd in 2005. We were asked by a couple (while play t volleyball) if we wanted to play with them later that night, they were very nice and very fit so we said yes. The guy got so excited he drank so much JD & coke throughout the day that he passed out in thier room before we were due to meet. So funny lmao :lol:
We are more of the "its all about the ladies" type of couple. She plays with other ladies and I like to watch. No dudes involved in the action. We were lucky to find some others who played by our rules in July. Too bad I was too drunk to remember the entire event!!!!
There are men or dudes involved in our fun but it's mainly about the girly fun. We started out doing the same as you guys and loved it. Even though we do a lot more now we wouldn't do anything with out Lynfa's girly fun lol. Our friends have seen the new clips and heard the stories about TTR, little do they know we get up to an dam site more at ours than we ever could at TTR.
