Can't wait till everyone gets here...and although I'm really sorry to see those cancel, I really understand why and hope you can join us another time.

I did cancel Bulldog...and I may go stock up on some more alcohol...wait, isn't this an all-inclusive??? :)

The mood here is still very upbeat and business as usual...we keep hearing the severe cases are from places with poor sanitation and potential weakened immunity systems anyway and that the U.S. cases have been much more mild (but I have been out at the pool for awhile, so if millions have died since I last checked in, then ignore this....LOL)

Those evil people at the pool keep getting shots from the bar and making me join them because of the Quita Penas shots I made them drink before.

I'm still wondering if this is being blown out of proportion...if the CDC says 36,000 people die per year in the US from flu, shouldn't approx 100 people per day being dieing from previously known flus? (and since this is flu season, shouldn't that number be several times higher??)

I'm just thankful for the Quita Penas Swine Flu Vaccine. When the rest of the world dies off from the swine flu, at least there will be a couple of hundred of us here at TTR to ensure the survival of the human race :)

I need to finish making the jello shots and get back to the pool with another bottle of the Big Blue Penis...next year we need shirts made up....

Do you think the swine flu will help me find the zipper on my towel????????? LMAO

I'm definitely going with the assumption that all the alcohol I will be consuming will kill off any bacteria as it enters my body... Or I will be so inibriated that I just won't give a crap.

Ken...You think you are partying now? HA - Just wait until we all arrive at the sexy pool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At this time in 2 days -I plan to be on vodka/cranberry #12, see, I'm slowing down in my old age....last year I was at #12 when I got off the plane. LMAO!

I swear, I've never worked so hard and fast at my job as I am doing this week - - makes the time go fast, makes Cancun get here even faster!!!

do u guys think they will close the border? We tried to shorten our trip and it would cost us 600 more per person.... We were thinking if we could just shorten the trip it wouldn't be as bad. we were supposed to be there until the 7th. We just don't want to get stuck in Mexico, or be in mexico under restrictions if we even slightly look sick.

All I can say is that Cancun still does not have any confirmed cases of this flu. The numbers world wide are not exactly increasing exponentially day on day with only a handful of new cases discovered overnight worldwide.

I cant help think that this has been hyped far far beyond what it really amounts to. The USA has 36,000 deaths from regular flu every year, that's 100 people a day, and so far swine flu has not led to any deaths outside Mexico.

We have just spoke to the boat owners for the cruise on Friday. It is 100% sure to go ahead. I have said numbers will be down on what we previously promised but they have assured us we will still get the best service. Hopefully Tequila Ken may have met a few people who want to come along to bulk up the numbers a little.

For Coco Bongo on Saturday night, I still need some direction from you Rob, shall we book it or not?

No I dont think they will. Take a look at the UK carriers who have already stopped bringing new people in. Those flights are still arriving (empty) to take people home who were due to go home anyway. I am sure even if the US cancelled vacations they woud still be taking those people already here home.

I plan on boarding the plane back with an Alcohol level of 1.0....so I can just tell them to let me blow a breatalizer and they will let me pass.

I'm not worried about them closing the border.... There have been no indications that option is even on the table to be considered. This is what I just read moments ago ""Border controls do not work. Travel restrictions do not work," WHO spokesman Gregory Hartl said, recalling the 2003 SARS epidemic that killed 774 people, mostly in Asia, and slowed the global economy.

"Flu deaths are nothing new in the United States or elsewhere. The Atlanta-based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that about 36,000 people die of flu-related causes each year, on average"

And THAT is why I'm going on vacation!!!!!!! If I stay home, I can get the flu just as easy.... and it's flu season - just like it is every year.
