Just an FYI - checked the CDC website and the WHO - they are not talking of closing the borders etc...........

 

Canada has now issued a travel advisory for non essential travel to mexico, the US and UK already have as well. We are frantically trying to book somewhere else, we are looking at Punta Cana because it's cheap, it would be great if anyone else is changing their plans to try and hook up in another spot .

We aren't cancelling our trip either! It's a vacation and with our group, we make our own party!

I've bought a shitload of hand sanitizer and I'm calling my doctor this morning to see if they can give me any preventive medications for it.

I have a better chance of catching it here in the DFW area than I do in Mexico!

Sorry to see that others are cancelling, I understand Les/Lynfa because it's out of their control.

All of you crazies better stay on board for this trip. My wife was worried this morning that it would just be us and our friends from here!!! LOL. I said, no worries, there's this group of crazies on the cancuncare board making the trip and no SWINE is gonna hold them back!!!! LOL. They have to shut the border down to keep me out. I not only want this trip, I need it in a bad way. It's time to let loose.

 

Sorry Melissa and I have rebooked, we wouldn't be coming, Canada issued a travel warning and we both work in health care so our employers would want to quarintine us without pay on our return. Have a great time everyone. We'll be at the Melia in Punta Cana instead

 

Well I'm totally bummed about Les/Nymfa - understand there is nothing they can do about it. But that SUX!!

I did talk to my doctor yesterday and he said nothing can be done ahead of time...only advice that can be given is WASH WASH WASH WASH hands!!!!

As soon as I read about the couple in Britain that just returned from Cancun on their honeymoon, I knew those overseas were gonna get shut down. I'm so so so so sorry!

As I said, unless the airlines shut us down - - WE WILL BE THERE!
