I (Beck) found out last week that the trapped nerve was due to ruptured disc...........found out Friday no other option but surgery asap - so day after vaca it is lol. Got plenty of meds, that with the drinks i'll be there:). Been looking forward to this for way too long...........

    Hey guys,
I had a bulging disc and had my spinal cord compressed bad. I had 2 compressed disc's and had Surgery the next day and after 45 minutes of that woke up feeling new and no pain. Totally fixed with a little titanium in my neck and a fusion of disc. No deficits in my neck movement. Greatest surgery that there is. You should be fine right after surgery.
Of course the Doctor would not let me work for six weeks and I could not drive for 2 weeks. That sucked and I slipped in to work at night because I was fine and bored silly.

    Good Luck.
    :p Don

    PS
I don't have any problems getting through Airport metal dectectors.

LOL about the metal detectors. Thanks for the good wishes. They are removing the ruptured disc and bone spur and fusing bone between the vertebrae, so by the end of May should be as good as new, lol. Was hoping to have the surgery before vaca but hey can't have it all ways. At lease I still get to go:)

Bring it! Besides, you only live once...you'll find out 1 of 2 things.

    1) You love it
    OR
    2) You hate it

And would you really want to live the rest of your life not knowing???

The no shows yesterday were no biggie, I've kind of got used to it. Must admit I am more confident that the no show rate for this particular cruise will be very low if any at all.

Paypal is an option I've considered before. Due to my account being tied to my UK bank account any funds received will have to go there and then back here again. Given paypal charges and the exchange rate I'd lose 10% before I even got to pay for the boat. Then there's potential issues such as tying forum usernames with incoming paypal receipts, chasing people who said they are coming but havent yet paid. Add in some people dont know how to use paypal, some dont trust it, genuine refunds such as sickness or bad weather and it's a ton more hassle with money being eaten up by charges at the same time.

Lets remember though, although there were some no shows yesterday, the vast majority did show up and had a fantastic time.

PS Rob will reply to your latest mail tomorrow - just kind of busy what with cruises, hangovers and my Mum being here on vacation at the moment.

Hey guys, Ginny and I are very much in and can't wait for this particular part of our trip. Agree with Les, we'd have no problem with a PayPal transaction and while it's too late in the game to do that now, perhaps if there is a no show without a legitimate reason (such as their tour operator went out of business), then they are "black listed" and aren't able to join future cruises. Know it sounds a little tough and we all want to keep this fun but a commitment is a commitment. Just our 2 cents. Anyway can't wait for the rainbow meet 'n greet Thursday - we hope the first part of our week (we get to TTR this Sat Apr 25th) will be as fun as we think the last part of our week will be!
