I know there is no surf at the resort but there are several schools nearby.

I was wondering if anyone had tried any of these? I'm trying to avoid Hawaii to relearn.

I'm just a noob here but TTR must be a hell of a place if no one has ventured out of the compound?

[IMG] tell me this isn't like Jamaica where it isn't safe to leave the security perimeter?

    But on to better things.....

I just discovered motorboating a couple years back at [IMG]

As for the other, I can only offer the activities board on one of my many Windjammer trips.

I'm also hoping to get in some [IMG] as well.

TTR is that great of a place that you don't want to leave for a second because you could miss something. We have friends who have ventured off the grounds and have had a great time and been very safe.

The resort \hotel zone is safe. We have many times walked a few miles down the road or gotten a cab to go to the club area during the day for some shopping. No worries just stay in the tourist area and be smart and you should be just fine. I've heard others have taken the bus in to Cancun city to Walmart or the market and never had a problem there either.

Yeah waves are a foot at best no good for surfing. We've done several day trips though, we've been to the Isla Mujare and took a golf cart tour of the island. We did Chichen Itza and we took a trip on the local bus to Market 28 and Walmart. At no time did I feel unsafe or in danger at anytime.

I had high hopes that I could get some surfing in.

I thought about Chizen Itza too but I donate Blood and that's in the red zone so now I'm looking at Tulum.
