did u call whoever u booked thru? my husband called expedia and bargained with them stating "we r ready to book now but dont want the excrutiating layover' and we were leaving in 15days...got it and got a better deal only a 2 hr layover in miami on the way then nonstop on way home
I am from Philly as well. I lived 6 miles from the airport and it was the only one I ever used. It is actually a pretty great Airport. Here is a link as to what they offer Philadelphia International Airport - Food & Shops Or, get out of the airport. The Sports Complex is 5 min away. Take a taxi and go see a Sixers or Flyers game, depending on the day and hours of your layover of course. You may miss your flight of you go to the Harris Casino in Chester, but that's about 20 min South of the airport. Go tour Old City...Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Betsy Ross House, Bars, Art Galleries. It's a beautiful place. A few blocks from there is South Street. From Front St (starting closer to the Delaware River) to about 9th St, it a bunch of bars, resturants, shops and people watching. Or Go to Pat's Cheesesteaks and Geno's Cheesesteaks and decided for yourself which is the best. Any taxi knows how to get there... But tell them to take you to 9th and Passyunk. My personal favorite is Geno's. YUM YUMMY!!! That area also has the best authentic Mexican food. Lil shops like downtown Cancun. So if you want to grab some tacos, try them as well!!!! Any questions let me know. I love and miss Philly with a passion. Get out and take advantage of the layover and see a place that people take for granted!!!!
Dirty? Maybe in some terminals cause they are expanding. But as a whole it gets great praise over what it has to offer. But to each his own I suppose.
I guess! I don't know, its just laid out so weird... terminal F isn't even connected! I just never was a big fan of it.. I try and fly BWI if possible, or Harrisburg! But your right, to each his own!
I got a 9 hour lay over Monday night coming back from cancun..... fort lauderdale touch down 9 pm fly back to jersey at 5:30am couldnt ask for a better layover
