We've been back a week now, and we both had sun issues this time. I'm very dark skinned to begin with, but am "molting" like crazy!! I started getting bumps on my back while we were at TTR. Leslie has a sun allergy of some sort, but the skin care girls hooked us up with their sunscreen and aloe lotions that did the trick. All the SPF 30 and higher stuff clogs your pores, and causes sun rashes. The stuff they ToriB has is all natural and worked like a charm. Still peeling like crazy, but no bumps!
I always try to have a great base tan before I get there. Only time I burned badly was our first trip there and my scalp burnt so bad I couldn't wash my hair
Nitecap...you are correct. It has been proven time and time again, that SPF's above 30 waterproof and sweatproof, because they contain more waxes, they clog pores because of the heat and humidity here. And not only that, the purpose of of those high SPF's is to send you home with limited color. They are sunBLOCKS. Some people want a white color going home, but most don't. So if you get color through them, they are not working correctly on you. Meaning, you are not protected. Kurtnalli...the products I sell at Temp are 100% Natural and Biodegradable. We do have an Organic Oil as well. Again, its all trial and error. Even lotions that work for you back home don't always work for you here. Climate has so much to do if a product works correctly with your skin type. You asked about Organic. Of course it can work, as long as it has the correct ingredients for you. If you are sensitive and it has waxes, it could clog your pores.
This was one of my first trips ever, that I had a normal tan... Thanks to all the April wives and girlfriends babysitting me and making sure I was reapplying and sprayed down every hour, I came home saying , So that is what a Tan looks like after a trip to Cancun lol, I usually used to burn then wear a shirt for a day or two, then burn again. This year I was well taken of and believe a bunch got information etc from Tori down there. Great Job by the way Tori, a sunburn can ruin a vacation real quick
I love my job, i love all the great ppl i meet at temp and i believe in what i do. Its so rewarding to help those have a better vacation and do good things for their skin.
This lady knows what shes talking about... we had to go to her in march... my wife got a rash and she went to Tori and she got us the right products and it worked great.... Thanx Tori... we will see you the next time we are down to TTR....:flagcanada:
If you’re worried about the sun and have questions, go back and read Tori’s post and take the advice. Remember to re-apply too; people forget this time and time again. Trust me I did and as the drinks are going down like the sun my shoulders and the bridge of my nose were getting hit hard! Pick up what you can in the states if possible because it is expensive down in Cancun.
