Guido and I went to the island our first trip to TTR and had a blast, rented a golf cart and drove around the island. We came across a drive-thru store to grab beers and had the best ceviche and margaritas at this little place to the right after getting off the ferry. The exchange rate on the island is higher and what ever you do, do not miss the last ferry ride out for the day or your stuck there for the night....Blondie
Hey Guys! just wanted to add the last ferry going back to El Embarcadero (closest to TTR) is at 5:15, but if you want to stay longer you can always catch the ferry going to Puerto Juarez and either cab or bus from there and the last one leaves from the island at midnight
Guido here, to narrow down the where the place with the fantastic ceviche is, it is across the street from the Naval base. But, I cant for the life of me remember the name of it.
The bar/cantina on the lower road just past the airport that has furniture made old tree root balls is cool as hell. It doesn't look like much from the road. I can't remember the name. Damn.. But if you go the the areas behind the bar there's always sports on the tube and cheap amazing food served on the terrace by the water. It's open late. Great place to have dinner, hang out, lay low and sip slow...
