Hi I am from the Uk and was wondering can I use my ghd's in cancun, when I went to cancun before I was lucky to have brought a worldwide travel hairdryer so I could change the voltage although my friend wasn't so lucky as she brought her normal hairdryer with a adapter and there was very little power from it...I am wondering will this be the same for my straighteners cause if so I am in trouble!!
Remembered this question asked on here last year as I advised my friend of the info before we went.... Should find the info your after here chuck http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22660&highlight=straighners
Thanks very much for the info I think I am in trouble! Does anyone know if I can buy a good set of straightners in cancun that are not too expensive? Please help!
I would hazard to guess Walmart would probably be your best port of call... But I'm sure one of lovely ladies on here can help you
Yes, Wal-Mart would be my guess. There's another almost-Walmart-type store there called CHEDRAUI that might have hair accessories. Chedraui is downtown. Take the R-1 bus and it is on the corner of Tulum and Coba. Coba is the street you will already be on, and the R-1 bus takes the right turn onto Tulum and you will see it. You will be coming at it at the same angle as the top picture here. (I'm sorry for the flashbacks for all of us pre-Wilma people... they're the only pictures of Chedraui I have.)
Is it the R-2 bus that goes to Wal-Mart? Otherwise, take any bus downtown and get off when the bus makes the first stop downtown and get a taxi from there to Wal-Mart.
But don't you find that as soon as you straighten it and go outside, the humidity frizzes it up again? Maybe you have some magic formula that you put on your hair to prevent this - care to share?
hehe... yes i'd luv to know too... remember that episode of Friends when Monica had the wild frizzy hair... well mine gets almost that bad
i'll share use this, works like a charm http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000EI9OFU/?tag=cancuncare-20 put it in before you straighten it and tehn spray it after. and it shouldnt frizz up. mine never did
