Thank you for starting this thread, my husband and I just had our 4th trip to Temptations Jan 21 to Feb. 5th and loved every minute of it but after reading some of these different threads and adding my two cents I became very discouraged and having been thinking about not returning. The 4 times we've been there we've never seen a fight, anyone pushed in a pool, camera broken or whatever, you know there are swingers but for the most part it wasn't in your face and for the most part seemed discreet. We both love this resort it is a wonderful place for everyone and anyone to let loose and enjoy themselves without real life responsibilities.:aktion069:
More in our trip report later but here is what we learned last week (we booked thru skoosh, no problems, didnt feel 2nd class). It really did not seem like they had already allocated rooms. To us it felt like things were happening on the fly. We arrived at noon and thru much 'negotiation' we were eventually placed in the block of rooms by the quiet pool but on the side facing the grass and the tex mex restaurant (1113 to be exact). We did NOT want to be in the center block of rooms and have to listen to Patio O's until 5am. Little did we know that we would be up until 3 or 4 most nights anyway. If you ask, they will walk with you to check out the room (just tip the bellman) before you are officially checked into it. That was a nice touch. We decided it would have to do. It was nothing horrible, but nothing great. We tried to upgrade to a jacuzzi room but they said it was $108 and they only had 1 available with two double beds. I told them I only wanted it if it was $50 and it had a king. They said $54 and they would have one for us in 2 days as they were 100% booked. So we took it. 2 nights in a regular room and 4 nights in a jacuzzi room worked out really well. In our opinion, the jacuzzi room was well worth it! :mnm:
Im glad your trip seemed to work out good for you guys, I have always booked through premier , using my membership, So am kinda used to having a Great room and the location that I want, I really could care less about the other things that the premier membership gives us, as I can eat anything, so I dont need the menu and I rarely lay on the beach, so i dont need the special section....but the room is something im soooo used to , as i love the location, so ive been emailing and trying to see if they can do something for me with the location....hopefully mine works out as good as yours did...lookin forward to your trip report..
Cheers Dan, really can't understand why A) a thread thats fed up with swinging talk is actually talking about swingers and B) why people who've posted loads of times on swinger threads are suddenly the voice of reason against swinger threads. Been laughing to myself since I started reading it. Anyway it's all good fun. If you don't like it then don't read it or post on it.:3some:
Honestly? Because I find it hard to take a thread complaining about the swinging chat seriously when the persons who wrote have comented over and over on the actual swinger threads they are complaining about. If you wanted to start a thread about another topic fine but don't go accusing people of just talking about swinging when you've done it yourself. You may want to read back at your own posts. And as for say if you saying you feel invisible and having a go a Rob & Tonya we think your wellout of order. Rob works very hard on this site to add a bit of humour to every topic and he doesn't deserve to be accused of ignoring people especially when he's replied several times to your posts. You say you want to make new friends, well your going a funny way about it. This is my (les) opinion and it'll probably offend you and other people but I feel you've offended people by complaining about threads you activley took part in and complaining about Rob
