we were there at that time.. I didnt hear about the stealing issue or thank goodness have anything stolen.. most people that had issues admitted they most likely lost/left the stuff somewhere.. I'm sorry this happened to you.. I'd be pissed if my top got stolen, I dont use them besides to go to lunch but I still want to keep my bikini's as sets..

I am not trying to play Sherlock Holmes or Hercule Poirot, but where were you when your stuff was stolen? Were you guys eating? In the pool? Beach? Surprised your stuff walked off in front of you, but anything is possible I guess. We had an ipod stolen at another resort while we were in the ocean.

Lol, he does. He usually gets him and Omar to wear it as a two person hat. He is always sure to get it back to me tho.

The shirts were on our chair in the morning before we went for breakfast at 7:30. A few people told us it was strange they weren't there since my hubby puts them out every morning at 6am like he always did for the last 11 days we were there. What makes me angry is about stealing. Is it shouldn't happen PERIOD! No one wants to have their belongings taken. The girl with the wicked weasel top was while she was in the pool. Really?....the problem is no one would think anything about it if they saw someone take it. There are so many people there who don't know each other and wouldn't think anything about it.

Am I the only one who read this entire thread to see what the shirts said?

I'm curious what you put on there that made them so desirable.

Unfortunately people steal stuff from all situations at work. Just look at the petty thieves walking out of stores with stuff in their pockets. They go on vacation too. I'm not saying that it's right and definitely do not condone it but we have taken precautions to not fall victim.

    - The camera is always around our wrist and NEVER gets left in the bag. It's waterproof and shock resistant so we just drag it around with us all day or leave it in the room safe.
    - Nothing is left in the bag that is considered valuable (sunscreen, a few bucks, our MIO, and a cover up is about all that's in there)
    - We make sure to tuck the bag under a chair all the way so that it's harder to easily get to.
    - When the suit top comes off (If I wear it at all) it's either tucked into the bag out of sight or in the Boy's pocket.

Obviously this won't help with chair saving shirts like the ones you had taken or even the cups or flip flops that we've had friends lose but it does make sure to limit our losses. I usually do not spend a ton on cups/flip flops/cover ups etc so other than being a bit pissed, I wouldn't be out a ton of $$ over a loss. The nice stuff I own is saved for nighttime when I can put it safely back in the room.

On a side note. If you do have something "stolen" it is a good idea to check lost and found. Although I have not had 100% success (one pair of flip flops never made it there) I have been able to recover cups, flip flops, and sunglasses on more than one occasion. I think they just laugh when they see me walking in each morning.

The person who took them off the chairs more than likely threw them in garbage, they were not desirable t-shirts that someone was looking to steal for themselves. The person was probably just fed up with the selfishness of some people who have multiple chairs reserved at the pool, and then leave the pool to go out for breakfast or whatnot.

My final thought is; if you want the chair move the shit, do not steal it. Kleptomaniacs everywhere, or just assholes. Not sure of spelling, lol.
