Our shirts don't say anything about don't take our chairs etc they say something like that FIREBALL whiskey whispers Temptation in my ear... and our friends has something about I take life with a grain of salt, slice of lime, and shot of tequila .. Again they are meant to be fun we are Super nice people...
We didn't have anything stolen. Of course, my wife wasn't wearing any top to get stolen. I didn't hear anyone complain about missing stuff while we were there but the chair issues seems to be a on going problem. Maybe you just got unlucky and a thief was at the resort at that time.
My wife and I dont save chairs and only use one for the both of us to place our stuff, ie towel and sun screen. We are in the pool the entire day so if they had a place to put stuff where we would be comfortable no one would steal our stuff we would place it there. However with that being said the last time we were down there our towels were stolen and we were told that is really normal. Not to big of a deal cause they are resort towels but you have to pay for them if you lose them, i think it is $20 a towel. Luckily my wife used her feminine charm to talk the towel boy into giving us 2 for free. My point is they need a better system so this sort of stuff does not happen.
Just got back last week and have to say that this is the FIRST time we actually participated in the "chair game". Not a fan....however....for the first 3 days we were there people that saved their chairs NEVER removed their shirts! So EVERY day they had the prime chairs around the pool. Seemed to work them. We sat on our towels at the edge of the pool. After a few days (back breaking) we decided to jump on the band wagon. Day 2 ....shirt gone and bands that were monogrammed with our names on them were GONE and a bed scarf from one of the rooms was tied across our chair! (We did check the receptacles around the pool as the bands were specially made for us by friends we met at TTR.) Friends of ours also had their shirts stolen - TWICE. I really do think IMPO that security or clean up crew should remove all "saved" t-shirts etc right before they start to clean the pool. Seems only fair. My 2 cents.
Agree 100% with Will n Roz. It should be a fresh start to every day and first come, first serve. No securing a chair at 4am (after Paty-O's) and then showing up at 12 noon to make use of it. All the while we see a bunch of people laying on towels at the side of the pool with tons of empty chairs not available.
Just curious, what time of day did you go to reserve your chairs? We've never done it before around 7 AM (when I wake up to get coffee) and never had an issue finding chairs or having stuff disappear... Of course we're also normally in our chairs by around 9:30 or 10 too (pretty quiet that time of day)...
Yes! I was just thinking that the only thing that would make my day complete was another round of the chair saving debate.
