hi does anyone stayed at any of the condos in akumal? we found a 2 bedromm condo in Playa Caribe Condominiums so instead of paying for 2 full hotel room, we can all fit in the condo, making it much cheaper and also with cooking our own food somethime will help too. so i was wondering if anyone ever been there? and does anyone know anything about the beaches there was there any damages caused by the hurricane? is it more expansive in akumal than cancun? thanks very much for any info
For sure a condo is much cheaper than 2 hotel rooms. The beaches are great there, but... what hurricane? You don't say when you are coming, so there could be a dramatic change between now and your arrival. If you can, plan to go to Walmart or the Comercial Mexicana (huge) in Playa del Carmen before going to Akumal, everything is much more expensive there, there is no supermarket, only a few convenience stores, and you find... what they have. The small stores for beach stuff is the same. Have a nice stay
