Disappointing to say the least. Jose always worked hard and would go out of his way to help entertain the guests really enjoyed talking to him. I remember we had to stay over on our first trip due to a hurricane that got reduced to a tropical storm not much in the way of difference between them other than the wind force being about 5 mph lower or the amount of rum in the drink. Anyway while the staff put the resort back together the entertainment staff did their best to keep us tourists occupied Sarah 69 / Sexy Sarah whichever she's going by and Jose taught us the way they made guacamole and salsa. The same recipes I use today, to start the demonstration Sarah said we needed to all have a good shot of Mexican brain lubrication otherwise known as tequila. One of the other guests asked where the salt and lime was and I said you're not really going to insult Jose and ask for salt and lime are you. And he looks at me and I say Jose isn't it true here in Mexico it's a straight shot without that salt and lime follower, he just smiled and said yes. I really hope the hotel changes their mind on Eme and Jose as these two gentlemen worked hard day and night to keep us entertained.
With all the repeat visitors that come back multiple times a year. Just let them be in charge of the entertainment. This way no one can get sick of them as they will be leaving in a week or two. Better than closing the joint down.
What is the reasoning behind all the firings? I've heard rumours of people having a drink while on the job, to what severity I don't know. I've heard of people showin up smelling like booze. But what is the real reason. Is the resort in trouble? New ownership? Too many good people getting fired. Hope the replacements can fill the shoes of those gone.
