I guess I am pretty different then most, as I don't really know the entertainment staff all that much. One of the younger new girls this past trip talked to me by the top part of the sexy pool bar many times, but that was about it. And I only think she did that because she was new, and still in the feeling things out stage. Whenever I saw JJ or Sarah they were pretty much hosting one of the poolside contests, and obviously there isn't too much getting to know one another during that. My crew is entertaining enough, guess that's why I am not that much in tune with the entertainment staff. However, I do really get to know the bartenders pretty well, and they remember me each trip. Guess maybe I spend most of my time at the bar, haha. Priorities right?!
Thanks for opening the door Steve. I must confess now... I know Sara69's name but that's it! The rest of the crew, I know by face only, I call them Hey, Hi, Hola or dos cervezas por favor!
Oh no....that's terrible news.i am still waiting for Luis to accept friend request on Facebook but he's hardly on it so am not holding my breath,I hope he gets someone nice to work with.
Its the horse and the carriage thing.. the et staff sets up the atmosphere which enables ( helps) the party to get on. I,m the same way , I pretty much don't listen to it any more , Bonnie likes to watch, but the games may be different but its the same outcome . But it is part of the experience, even if don't care for it.. ,, with out it it would be like the quiet pool .
Oh I defiantly agree having the ent crew, and them pumping people up is almost a necessity. Because like you said, it gets the ball rolling in the "wild" direction. Obviously if they are good at their job, it is even better (hence the energy on the Boobs Cruise). I just never really got to know anyone personally. Shit give me the mic, I think it's time for a career change!
If you're really funny Steve may even give you a spot on the Boobs Cruise if you do. Have to hand it to Steve he knows what the crowd likes
I have to agree with Donald. If it was just the guests you would have TTR up and down the hotel zone. You would have had it at the Viva (if that's what is was called, I can't remember now) that tried to duplicate TTR even to the point of hiring Sarah. You would have had it at the other place (my brain is not working this morning) where they have topless on the strip. But you don't. That's because years ago Chinos, Lalo, and Enrique created an atmosphere that trained a lot of Repeaters on how to act. They set the stage. They made it really impossible for you to come to a resort and not talk to the person sitting next to you on a chair around the pool. That and the crazy bartenders that made you feel at home and helped get the party started. So years of folks were trained and a core base was put in place of guests to help new people understand. It's like any party you go to. You need that one wild, I don't give a shit, lady to get the ball rolling. Once they do, everyone lets loose. Well the entertainment staff at BBV/BBG/TTR was that wild lady. You see it on every Boobs Cruise. That's actually what scares the old Repeaters so much about the planned expansion of the hotel. Right now trained Repeaters make up about 50% of the crowd on good weeks. You can tell when its less, people come back saying what a boring week it was. So if you double the size of the hotel, that 50% becomes 25% and that might not be enough to keep the party going. I love JJ and Sarah but they are really good at keeping the party going but don't have Chinos nack for "starting" a party from the dead. That is a unique talent very few have. And as for getting to know the staff.. well that comes over time, remember some of us have been coming to the resort for better that 17 years now. In that much time you are bound to find a minute or two when you are sober and look at the person across the table and say "Hey! Do I know you?" But back to the subject at hand though.. for all their warts, TTR management does a lot for their employees. In turn for the edge of a riot party place they run, they have very strict rules the employees know very well. Top of the list for immediate firing is sex with the customers, stealing, and being drunk at work. Those are non-negotiable. Seen too many friends from there push those rules and lose their jobs. Hated it every time but shook my head and said WHY did you do it???? But we've also learned over the years and internal hotel personal actions are theirs to make. You can choose to go somewhere else but you will not change their mind. They know the impact of each of their decisions and they stick by them. Just my 2 cents.... Jamie
