What the admin. needs to concentrate on is us, not the prudes that occasionally come there and have no idea of the concept of the fun we enjoy. Let Chinos do his thing. Be easy on the rest of the entertainment staff. They are awesome and we love to talk to them. GEEZ, they work their ass off for us to entertain us and I appreciate that so much. Just my 2 cents.
There are hundreds, maybe thousands, of repeaters to TTR. Obviously, those repeaters like the way the resort was, and still fortunately is for the most part. But TTR is a niche resort; the repeaters are the core of their business. Other guests, what I think of as Hilton types, come without knowing what TTR is. They are shocked, and write negative comments on the checkout survey cards. Some then rip TTR on Trip Advisor. TTR management then reacts by telling Chinos (presumably through Mario and/or Victor) to "tone it down". The fact is, the Hilton type customer won't be back anyway. And the resort becomes a bit less entertaining for all of us who love the place the way it's always been. And Chinos and the others are caught in the crossfire. A few things we can do. Tell the staff how much you appreciate their efforts. And even more important, be very complimentary of the entertainment staff on the survey cards. And if you happen to wind up talking to anybody up the food chain a ways in management, let them know how you feel as well.
Well said. The majority of the time people only put negative things on comment cards. Like you said.. the best thing that we can do is make sure that the comment cards get the positive things we want to see kept along with improvements.

Seeing TTR is alot cheaper to stay and party at, it'll put a few extra bucks into the owners pockets and fill up Desire a bit more in the low seasons/times. Chinos, swearing, nudity, all sorts of random stuff. IMHO, Chinos is the heart and soul of the resort. As Rob always says, you don't go to a resort for a particular staff member, but Chinos is one hell of a great entertainer, emcee, etc. Works his ass off to try to get people to have a good time. The whole activities staff is sort of in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation.
