    Are all of the square cut trunks really tight around the waist? My main issue with them has been that it's just too hard to get my hand down in them. I think I sprained my wrist on a pair of those in September!

    That's what Dave does.......undies in the pool. Most of the square cuts have a drawstring around the waist.......the undies just an elastic band, much more comfortable.
