Yeah they live that close cause the other half of Canada isb';t developed yet..We have a huge land mass. And the futher North you go it is deserted and cold. So there for poeple tend to live closer to the US border cause it's closer to the equator which is warmer weather

 

If that were the case, you'd all keep migrating south until you actually hit the equator.
