There are still so many rumors going around about La Boom. Chances are the guys at your resort really do think it's reopening. I tend to think it isn't mainly because of the bartender who just took another job. Dany and I ran into him in El Asador one night and he was telling us that almost all of the employees had found new jobs after months and months of waiting for it to open. Some even waited until after Spring Break thinking there was no way La Boom would miss that....but when it didn't open during the Spring break and even the managers were taking other jobs the other employees figured they had better too. it is disapointing... would have been perfect for us this year...right across the street..couldnt have been any more convenient..
It was a real popular place for the BBG guests too....just down the street so it wasn't to tough to stagger home, LOL. Karan
There use to be a small outside bar right up from La Boom (towards BBG) next to that little store. It was called Stoneys and was a favorite of the BBG staff. I can't tell you how many nights (or I should say mornings since the sun was up) Dany and wandered back from there. Crossing that street could be a major challenge when everyone's heading to work so traffic was heavy and we'd just finshed a long night of drinking. God must have been looking after us.... :wink: Karan
oh man can i imagine. its hard enough crossing that street sober, never mind drunk... and those stupid high curbs...omg i always always stumbled on them
