I was looking for some sporting event on a past trip, and got sent to a sports bar in Downtown Cancun somewhere near La Habichuela. The event I was looking for was not on any of the TVs there. The place was packed, and everyone was watching the same football (soccer) game. I was the only one in the house not speaking Spanish, and had a blast.

That's almost certainly La Taberna on Av Yaxchillan, and will be where I will be going to watch the Mexico games.

Very safe, Canadian owner, cheap prices definitely recommended for any footy fans who want to experience World Cup games involving Mexico.

Get there early the place will be packed!

Fly out Wednesday and disappointed there will be no England game to watch.

May well go out and watch the Mexican game though (providing they go through tonight).

Where would be the best place to go watch them and mix it up with the locals? Or are we better staying away.

Sorry for my nosiness....but curousity yknow
I see your tagline 'West Ham united season ticket holder'.

How much is one season ticket in pounds?
Do you also have to have a seat licence?
    Are they easy to get?
Or do you have to wait years on a list to become a season ticket holder?
Is it the type of thing where ppl will the tickets to future family generations?

I have paid £620 this year for 19 home games. I sit in the cheapest part of the ground although i still have a good view and its where most of the atmosphere comes from.

Theres nothing else to pay (up to me whether i want to buy some over priced food, drink, programme etc).

We haven't sold out our season ticket allocation for a few seasons now, however i expect they will sell out next season since its our last season at the Boleyn Ground before we move to the Olympic Stadium.

I can pass the season ticket on to anyone, but if I dont renew one year then I will be straight to the back of the queue if i wish to get another a few seasons later.

    Thanks for the education.
Being a massive sports fan I always find the biz of sports interesting.
LoL @ cheap seats = atmosphere isn't the same all over the sports world!
The high rent sections are always so staid in every stadia....worldwide.

Do U expect a ££ increase when U move to Olympic Stadium?
Do U know what Man U or Arsenal or Chelsea season tix run at?
Are they same price point as you pay?

Yeah the more expensive parts you will find its just people who wish to sit there eating a prawn sandwich, not saying a word and generally moaning about anyone who stands up or make some atmosphere.

I have no idea how the move will affect pricing. Its all being kept very secretive - infact the whole move stinks and many people would rather we didn't go - however its too late for that now.

With regards to other clubs pricing. Mainly all the clubs in London are the most expensive(Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea and us). Infact i think we are about the 5th most expensive in the league - just a shame we dont get anywhere near that position in the league.

I think Man Utd are actually slightly cheaper than our tickets which just about says how much we get over charged for just being in London.
