I wear the square cut speedo around the pool and on the cruise. They dry in 5 minutes, then i slip on my dry board shorts to go to the buffet. I hate a wet bathing suit.
It's normally board shorts for me, but I may reward my hard work at the gym with a couple pairs of square cuts. You'll probably find my girlfriend hanging out at the opposite side of the sexy pool when she sees them though.
I'm not one for Speedos or squarecuts myself. You'd think maybe as a single woman I would want more information rather than less, but no, it doesn't work that way. But if you have a tasteful squarecut and you're lovin' it, go for it. Just make sure the fabric is thick enough so that (1) your junk is kept under control, and (2) we don't all see WAY more than we ever wanted to see when it gets wet. As I have posted before on other threads, I think the new style of boardshorts with a LITTLE Lycra in them are the bomb. Lightweight, dry fast, super comfy, make your ass look great. Hurley Phantom makes the best-fitting ones with a curved yoke in the back that does amazing things for any ass. My eyes will follow a guy in a pair of those, whereas I find myself averting my eyes from guys in Speedos so I don't get accused of checking out their junk ha ha. So there's a single girl's perspective, for what it's worth.
Karen I took ur advice this past May and threw out my board shorts and bought several pair of the Hurley ones and Tony Hawk ones. Everything you say is correct and thanks for posting this info.
Boardshorts are the way to go imo...that's what I've got...however if it came down to an event, game, or chinos telling me to...I'd sport the speedo temporarily...but I've never worn one ever.
Well not sure what board shorts are, but if I am assuming they are the shorts mid thigh type of bathing suit, or a cut off type style that to me is much more appealing. I don't care how good of shape you are in, less showing is more if you get what I mean and a speedo just creeps me out. It is more interesting to wear something sexy but with class. No thongs, no speedos.
