Okay, so I've searched and searched and can't seem to make up my mind about whether to go to Cancun or Acapulco for SB 07. We just want to make a decision already. I know about the differences in beaches, Americanized feel, costs, hotels, clubs and so forth. What I really want to know is what is the deal with the girl/guy ratio at these two places in March? I've heard and read several times that there are way more guys than girls in Cancun, so there is obviously some truth to it. I'm guessing it's got to be at least 60% guys. On the other hand, I have heard that Acapulco has more girls than guys - but it has been hard any concrete answer on this. Is there any truth to this? Also, does anyone know the raw numbers of spring breakers going to each? If Acapulco has a higher ratio of girls, but half the breakers of Cancun, that's something to consider. I remember reading that last year Acapulco had more visitors for SB b/c of the hurricane. Thanks in advance for any information!

to be honest i dont know what the numbers are like for acapulco. whether there are more girls than guys. you mgiht get more response tmorrow when more people are on and people that ahve been to both. as for where you should go. this is a cancun forum, the responses are going to be very biased i thnk both are americanized, but cancun prettier as the beaches are white and the waters blue. as for more people going to acapulco. i think that if you read around some of the recent posts. you'll see that alot fo the flights to cancun are selling out and prices are rising because of demand. cancun is back in full swing and will be a great destination for spring break this year!

I think Cancun is definitely more americanized than Acapulco. An Acapulco is a big city and really does have that big city feel. To cross the main street your resort is on you'll need to cross 6 lanes of very busy traffic. The clubs are bigger but there aren't as many of them. I really like Acapulco (have been there 3 times) and although I'm not a Spring Breaker and never did Mexico for my Spring Breaks I would say that Cancun is probably going to be more popular. And as for the guys to girls ratio...no way on earth of knowing that until you get there. Anything would be just a guess.
there was way more guys than girls last year but that seems to be same as most places. its not bad though never felt like i was in a cockfest and talked to 100s of girls without being cock blocked just guess get yourself noticed and dont be shy and you will be fine most guys are just standing around stareing at corona girls lol as for the other destination never been so cant comment

Personally I htink it's silly to base your trip on how many chicks are going to be there.... BUT in that sense. I definately think that cancun 07 will be pumping and SPRING BREAK centreal for sure this year.... There will be chicks anywhere you go. And no guarentess os getting any at either place remember that
The clubs are bigger in cancun and cancun caters to spring breakers more, period!! So far, for this spring break, Cancun has the MOST bookings among ALL travel companies for students travel, so.... as you can see, cancun will be back on top again as the largest destination, why settle for anything less?
i dont think i could go to anouther destination not now ive been to cancun because i heard its the best and id kick myself so much if i went somewhere that didnt match up. one year i wouldnt mind 1 week in daytona possibly from start of march then flying to cancun for a further 2 week
