So I have some "stupid" newbie questions...maybe someone would help me out? so we are going for our first time April 14-21...Do you ge ice in your drinks? I bought sport sippie bottle but they aren't insulated...Do they serve captain morgan? He's my favorite...also does the beer come in a bottle? Does anyone want to get a group together to charter a fishing trip? I am after a marlin so...LOL... Thanks Alison
First of there is ice in the drinks and the ice is safe by the way. I recommend you either get a bubba cup if you can find them near you if not just go to the gift shop when you get there and go towards the coolor with drinks in it and look to you left on the shelf and you will find insulated cups with Temptation logos on them. These are great and they float. They are about 7.00 or so each. The beer comes out of a keg and no it isn't Corona. It isn't too bad either. Not sure about the Capt Morgan but if you really want it you can pick it up at the duty free after you leave Customs but before you head outside. I get there on the 25th so I will miss you guys but you will be down there with the April Addicts and they will show you the ropes when you get there. Just look at the April roll call and try to remember some faces of the people that will be there with you. From the amount of people there at that time all you have to do is ask anyone you meet if they are from Cancuncare and you will run in to someone from here and then let the fun begin. I think the best place in the hotel for your room is around the quiet pool. If you upgrade to a jacuzzi room then you get a room around it as all jacuzzi rooms are on the ground floor around the quiet pool. Far enough away you dont have to listen to the party all night after you go to bed and the resort is small enogh that everything is close.
How much is TTR likely to charge to upgrade to a jacuzzi room when you get to the resort (per night) rather than beforehand? Don't get the option with our travel agent to upgrade beforehand, but I definitely want to if I can.
It depends on who you talk to and how well you can negotiate. I think they normally say around $70 a night extra. It sounds like it can be negotiated down a little. I have no negotiating skills, so I don't even try.
