Silly Tj! I bought your heater when I bought mine 2 years ago at the Wal-Mart in Gran Plaza. They were on clearance for 100 pesos...great deal!

I have about 3 of those sitting in my closet, here in MN. I dont use them and should bring them down my next vacation. They are pretty cheap here. I bought them when my furnace brokedown a few years back in January in MN, took 4 days to get a new one installed. We lived sitting with one of them blowing at us for the weekend.

Would love to share but all of ours have been put to use.

Don't know if you see them advertized there but the new rage here is a ceramic infra red mix, thermostatically controlled and will heat 1000 sq feet. I am using one to prevent plumbing from freezing up in a cottage which is parked in minus 25 degree weather. Touch wood it is working like a charm.

So I bought three of the five at the Bonampark Superama...for me and two friends on Isla Mujeres. The winds had been raw and with another cold front forecast soon, I think we'll be as snug as bugs in a run! They were Lasko brand, made in Pennslylvania.

Glad to help. Now it has gotten warmer but they say it will get cool again. Stay toasty! Happy New Year!

It's quite pleasant at the moment, currently 23C at just gone midnight. But it has got down to 12C at night recently.

12C might seem quite warm to those in colder climes, but remember we dont have heating and our wardrobe consists mostly of shorts and T shirts.

Plus those who've lived here a while get nesh. I remember the days I used to go for a night out on the town in a T shirt when it was below freezing. Nowadays anything below 15C and I'm cold.

Well, it does not matter the temperature, it sure gets cold enough for a heater here. Mine is back in the box now for the year but for a week or so it was a God send.

Scorpio - I guess it is all relevant. I was in NY 3 weeks ago and it was 17 F. I had enough stuff to stay warm but kept the heat on high in the apt. Then it got up to 30 or so and it was like a heat wave. Long sleeve shirt and a hoody and I was good to go. But that was only for 5 days and I got out before the blizzard.
