Yes it is for members only again for how long who knows....not that I have a problem with it either but if they are gonna center out red bands being up there they need to do it across the board. At Paty0s you can invite the red bands up to the deck area but not at the sexy pool deck area. The powers to be concerning the Premier members should really just stop trying to make things worse by changing things that do not need to be changed, I had many members tell us that they hate the separation thing as well and we all know that the majority of members really don't care about areas being separate but the few that do are the ones that make it worse for everyone.
Kim, darlin, i have no problem with members at all. I think it's fair that members get extra perks as you have paid for them. I do have problems losing certain areas that we've used for years cause they all of a sudden they designate them members only.
I am not sure about taking the full two years, but it did take a very long time. We were hitting TTR every 3-4 months at that time, and it was under construction during several trips. They had it about done, and then tore it down to the ground. Must have been some sort of design change.
Sorry that my peasant comment pissed you off. Certainly wasn't the intent. With that said, don't be surprised if I still fire it out there once in a while cause I think it's funny. It still won't be intended to piss you off cause I don't piss people off for fun. I basically use this forum as a fun place where I can throw out a line or two here and there and hopefully generate a laugh or two for people. I couldn't care less if they want to build a premiere deck for members or if they save the fancy booze for members or if members get easier access to to reservations, etc. All fair game in my mind. That's all them providing extra value for their members at no expense to the the masses. And if they provide extra value then I'm cool with them getting paid. I don't like the taking stuff away from the masses to give to the members. That isn't providing extra value. That's just taking from the masses and giving to the members. They aren't earning their money. They are just reducing my seating options and charging the members for it. The thing that makes TTR work is the interaction between the guests. Creating the caste system and bringing in stuff that actively segregates the members from the masses won't help with the interaction. It could actually segregate the party and lessen it for everybody. It's a danger to the current atmosphere. As far as why I wouldn't just buy a membership myself, well I don't see TTR as the marrying type. She's my go-to girl. And yes, I might go to her a lot and very regularly. But I also know that she can be a little crazy at times and I'm keeping my ability to ditch her and change my cell number if needed. I don't trust TTR to make good decisions over time so we're not getting married.
Don... are you talking about the deck above the sexy pool? I'm not sure (and hope it's not true) but, I think that Don&Olga are talking about the raised seating deck in Paty'Os being reserved for Premiere members only now.
Agree with this. I actually like the perks a lot. But they are not enough to get me to buy in and even if they increase them I don't think it will change my opinion. What would change my opinion was a clear investment in the OVERALL resort and vision of where they want the resort to be for the duration of the contract. I don't trust them to make those investments and be the resort that I will always want to go to for the duration of the contract. GOV coming along kind of woke me up to this. Even though GOV has not worked out yet, it might be where I want to be in 2015 or 2020 or 2025, those contracts last a long time. Add in the variability and ease to changing the AI rate and it just is hard to get on board even though a part of me really wants to. I can definitely see why people would want to though and I respect that. TTR rocks.
